The Teamsters are one of America’s most powerful unions, and if workers’ demands aren’t met, they’re preparing for what could be one of the largest strikes on a single employer in American history, at United Parcel Service, or UPS. But it’s not the first time UPS workers have waged a nationwide fight. They did it in 1997, and many workers who are on the verge of walking off the job today did so back then. We go back to ‘97 with New York Local 804 Teamsters Angelique Dawkins, Tony Rosario and Antoine Andrews. Presented in collaboration with Jacobin Magazine and More Perfect Union.
